Class Schedule for ACLS Classroom Renewal
This 1-day American Heart Association ACLS Renewal course is geared towards clinically proficient practitioners and will provide an overview, and the 2015 guidelines update of the skills and didactic information necessary to manage a cardiac arrest, as well as the events leading to and following a sudden cardiovascular collapse.
Course name: ACLS Renewal (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Course length: 6 hours
Certification: American Heart Association (valid 2 years).
Certification card: Receive on day of class.
You can cancel with a 7 days notice. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, or you do not show up, your department will be charged and you must pay for the training yourself.
All students must bring in the 2016 American Heart Association ACLS book on the day of the class (the older versions are no longer accepted). If you do not have the book, you will not be admitted into class (or you must pay $60). Please note the current version of the ACLS class uses the 2015 AHA Guidelines; and the correct book has the 2016 copyright date inside the front cover. You can check out the book at the UCSF Library on Parnassus or Mission Bay.
Mandatory Precourse Test
Complete the mandatory precourse test, print it out, and bring with you to class. (Must access this on a computer or tablet, not a mobile device.) You must receive a score of 70% or better to take this class. Retake until you pass. You cannot attend class if you do not bring this to class.
